Fritz Fahrni
Chairman of the Board

Fritz FahrniFritz Fahrni serves as chairman of the board of directors and as chairman of the board of u-blox AG since April 2008. He is a non-executive director. Mr. Fahrni holds a degree in engineering from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH) and a PhD from Illinois Institute of Technology. He was chief executive officer of Sulzer Corporation from 1988 to 1999. He then served as professor of practise at ETH Zürich and University of St. Gallen from 2000 to 2008. He is a member of the board of LEM Holding AG, Ammann Industries, Emerald Technology Ventures and Balgrist University Hospital. Mr. Fahrni is a Swiss citizen.




Dr. Paul Van Iseghem

Vice Chairman of the Board

Dr. Paul van IseghemDr. Paul Van Iseghem is a member of the board of directors since April 2011. He is a non-executive Director. He was CEO and president of LEM from 2005 – 2010 and led the components division at LEM from 2000-2005. Before joining LEM, he held various senior management positions in Europe and the US in the engineering industry. He holds a Ph.D. in engineering from the University of California, USA, and a Masters degree in Engineering from the University of Leuven, Belgium. Mr. Van Iseghem is a Belgian citizen.




Soo Boon Quek
Member of the Board

Soo Boon QuekMs. Soo Boon Quek is a member of the board of directors of u-blox AG and since our Reorganisation in 2007 of the board of directors of u-blox Holding AG. She is currently the Managing Partner of iglobe Partners, a fund management company. Previously, she worked as Senior Vice President / Deputy General Manager of Vertex Management Inc, the VC arm of Singapore Technologies. She has also held various senior management positions with the Development Bank of Singapore. She holds a B.Sc. degree in Mathematics (First Class Honors) from King's College, University of London. Ms. Quek is a Singapore citizen.




Prof. Gerhard Tröster

Prof. Gerhard TroesterProf. Gerhard Tröster is a member of the board of directors of u-blox AG and since our Reorganisation in 2007 of the board of directors of u-blox Holding AG. He served as chairman of our board of directors between 1997 and 2000, and as vice-chairman between 2000 and 2003. Since 2006 he has been a member of the board. As Professor of Electronics at the ETH Zürich he is heading the Electronics Laboratory since 1993. Previously, he worked as research manager at Telefunken electronic (Atmel), Heilbronn, Germany. He holds a Diploma degree from the Technical University of Karlsruhe and a PhD degree from the technical University of Darmstadt, both in electrical engineering.



 

André Müller
Member of the Board

André MüllerMr. André Müller holds a degree in engineering (ETH). André Müller was active as CEO of Cicorel SA (Switzerland) and member of the Cicor Technologies group committee from 2006 - 2009. From 1998 - 2007 he was CEO and as of 1999 chairman of the board of HCT Shaping Systems SA (Switzerland). From 1993 - 1996 he was vice-president and from 1996 - 1998 CEO of ESEC SA (Switzerland). Prior to that, he held different positions in research and development divisions in the aerospace industry. Mr. André Müller is member of the board of Essemtec AG (Switzerland), DW Holding AG (Switzerland), Odevis Automation AG (Germany) and Bangerter Microtechnik AG (Switzerland). Mr. André Müller was born 1953 and is a Swiss and Italian citizen.





Thomas Seiler

Thomas SeilerThomas Seiler is a member of the board of directors of u-blox AG and since our Reorganisation in 2007 of the board of directors of u-blox Holding AG. He has served as CEO and Head of Marketing and Sales for the company since May 1, 2002. Previously, he worked from 1999 to 2001 as CEO for Kistler Holding AG, a manufacturer of high precision measurement and test equipment and from 1986 to 1998 as CEO for Melcher Holding AG, a supplier of power supplies. Thomas Seiler is a member of the Board of Artum AG, Switzerland. He holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH) in Zürich/Switzerland and a MBA from INSEAD in Fontainebleau/France. Mr. Seiler is a Swiss Citizen.



Jean-Pierre Wyss

Jean-Pierre WyssJean-Pierre Wyss is a co-founder of u-blox and is a member of the board of directors of u-blox AG and since our Reorganisation in 2007 of the board of directors of u-blox Holding AG. Prior to joining u-blox, he was assistant and PhD candidate at the ETH in Zürich. He holds a degree in Electrical Engineering from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH) in Zürich/Switzerland and Finance for Executives diploma from INSEAD in Singapore. In 2007 he has attended an intensive leadership program called "Entrepreneurial Leadership" from ETH Zurich and HSG St. Gallen. Mr. Wyss is a Swiss citizen.
