GPS and GSM reference design with integrated SMT antennas and SIM card holder

To help our customers bring their telematics products to market even faster, u-blox introduces the C16 GSM/GPS reference design. The C16 is a complete and integrated solution for telematics applications such as fleet management, stolen vehicle and asset tracking, road pricing, and security/surveillance. It demonstrates the integration of u-blox’ NEO-6Q GPS receiver with a LEON-G200 GPRS/GSM module. This 100% SMD solution uses SMT passive GPS and GSM antennas and SIM card holder (SIM card not included).

This reference design supports full access to the NEO-6Q GPS module via the LEON-G200 module. Thus GSM and GPS can be controlled through a single serial port from any host processor. The LEON-G200 module features quad-band GSM/GPRS data, voice and class 10 data transmission. The high performance u-blox 6 GPS engine enables navigation even in weak signal environments.

Features:
  • Combines LEON-G200 GSM/GPRS modem module with NEO-6Q GPS receiver module
  • Quad-band GSM/GPRS data, voice and class 10 data transmission
  • 100% SMD solution including SIM card holder (SIM card not included)
    and SIM chip footprint
  • GSM and GPS antenna included
